While doing a little street photography in Niigata in Japan in 2025 I found these street lanterns above a bar. Stretching up on my toes I managed to get the camera up close for this photograph. It’s a nice cool image to suit anyone with a love of Japan.
Niigata is a port city on Honshu, Japan’s main island and I highly recommend a visit if you get the chance. A tourist bus from the main station will take you around to all the main spots - markets/temples/famed houses. Also try the Aquarium too :)
